Naresh Goyal is a non-resident Indian entrepreneur and founder of Jet Airways. Jet Airways began operating in 1993 with seed capital from Tail Winds Incorporated, Isle of Man. After the Air Airways IPO in 2005, Forbes magazine announced that it was the richest person in India in 16th place, with a Fortune of $ 1.9 billion. Currently, it is not on the Forbes list.
Suspicious links have been reported between Indian gangster Dawood Ibrahim and the director of Jet Airways and Marj Naresh Joyal since the 1990s.
Naresh Goyal Past life
Naresh Goyal was born in Sanjurur, Punjab, India, in 1949, in the house of a jewelry merchant. His father died when he was a child. He studied up to level six in government. Raj Secondary for Children. When he was eleven years old, his family went through an economic crisis and his house was auctioned off. Then he lived with his mother’s uncle. Goyal received a bachelor’s degree in government trade. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala.
In 1967, Goyal began his career as treasurer of the travel agency Seth Charan Das Ram Lal, East and West agencies, with a salary of Rs. 300 per month. After graduating from the trade, Joyal joined the travel industry with GSA of Lebanese International Airlines.
From 1967 to 1974, he received extensive training in travel through his association with many foreign airlines. He traveled a lot abroad at work during this period.
In 1969, he was appointed Director of Public Relations of Iraqi Airways, and from 1971 to 1974 he was Regional Director of Royal Jordanian Airlines. He has worked with offices in India for Middle East Airlines (MEA), where he has gained experience in many areas, including ticket sales, reservations and sales. In 1974, with £ 500 from his mother, he created his own agency called Jetair, representing Air France, Austrian Airlines and Cathay Pacific.
In 1975, he was appointed Regional Director of Philippine Airlines in India.
In 1993, Goyal benefited from the opening of the Indian economy and the announcement of the open skies policy by the Government of India to establish Jet Airlines to operate scheduled air services for local sectors in India. Jet Airways began its commercial operations on May 5, 1993. Goyal established Jet Airways (Private) Limited to provide sales and marketing to represent foreign airlines in India.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) from 2004-2006. He was re-elected in 2008 with his term extended until June 2016.

Joel met his wife, Anita, after joining the company in 1979 as a marketing analyst and took over as head of marketing and sales. They married nine years later. The couple has two children, Nivan Goyal, 24, and a daughter, Namrata Goyal, 26.
